BETSY HENDRICKSON

My husband and I have lived in Darien since 2008. We have three boys all of whom attended FCCNS!  Our children are now in 5th, 7th and 9th grades.  I remember when I was touring all of the preschools looking for the perfect school for my boys, I fell in love with FCCNS. As soon as I entered the building, I loved the warmth of the school, its philosophy and all the amazing teachers. My children had the best experience at FCCNS, so much so that when our youngest son started Kindergarten, I decided to return there to teach.  In the 5 years that I have worked at FCCNS I have been with the 2s, 4s and now the 3s!
I attended St. Lawrence University for my undergraduate education and received my Masters in Early Childhood Education from Bank Street College.  Before having children I taught at Rippowam Cisqua, The Brick Church School in NYC, and Christ's Church Nursery School in Rye, NY. 
When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family, working out, taking yoga classes and reading books!
